Use your Smart Phone for a Successful Social Networking Campaign
As more and more social networking sites evolve, it becomes harder and takes longer to get your name out on all of them. Until recently, as many of you have had to do, I had to log on the Internet, sign in to the various sites and upload pictures, content, and videos. This can be extremely time-consuming, although very necessary to running a successful Internet marketing campaign. I think we all know how important it is to market your restaurant online, with social networking being one of the most effective ways to market. Why use your Smart Phone for Marketing? While social networking is critical, the fact remains it takes a lot of time. I have found a way to cut that time four fold. I purchased the new iPhone 3GS and am now able to upload content to twitter.com, youtube.com and facebook.com instantly. In addition, I am able to log into youtube.com and link all three social sites together. So, whenever I upload a video to youtube.com, it will show up on twitter.com and facebook.com that I posted a video, and the link will be shown. This is so powerful because you can be literally sitting in your restaurant or bowling center and video tape something that is interesting. You can then upload it right away, where it will get lots of attention because it is instant. If you don't want all three social sites linked, then you can download an application from your iPhone that will make the sites more user-friendly. This will allow you to easily upload content. For instance, for twitter.com there is an application called tweetdeck that allows you to blog and take and send pictures to your twitter account. Facebook also has an application that allows you to do the same. Why is social networking so important? Social networking is the future of all marketing. You must become a part of the social networking world, if you want to succeed! It is all about connecting with people who can be potential customers. Building a relationship with these potential customers can turn them into actual customers pretty quickly! What is the best thing about social networking? If done right, it can cut your advertising costs in half. Yes, that is right – in half! I am living proof. I was able to cut my advertising costs by 50% this year by focusing my efforts on saturating the social sites. I also encourage my staff to have a social site of their own. The more exposure you create the better. Instead of writing a blog on the site, you would go in and type that you have an updated blog and list the link. It is simple and extremely effective! · LinkedIn – This is a popular social networking site amongst business professionals. They have added the option for group managers to send an announcement by email to group members. · FaceBook – There are many opportunities for using FaceBook for marketing.
